The Advantages of Having a Cat in Your Home with Kids
Cats are wonderful pets for children. They are known to be very affectionate towards their owners and often enjoy spending time with them.
Cats are known to be great pets for people who live in small spaces, and can even be trained to use a litter box. This makes them the ideal pet for those who want the benefits of an animal companion without the property damage that some other larger animals might cause in and around the home.
Stressed? A study from Oxford University found that living with a pet reduced stress by up to 68%. These little furry companions help reduce blood pressure and improve mood because of their calming presence.
How to Draw a Cat
Step 1: Outline the Head
To outline the cat's head, draw a shape similar to the illustration.
Step 2: Draw the Face and Ears
To form the face of the cat, first create two shaded circles for the eyes. Next, add two diagonal lines on each side of the face to attach whiskers. Then, draw a rounded triangle with curvy lines attached to the bottom to form the nose and mouth of the cat. Finally, draw triangular shapes at the pointy part of the head to create the inner ears.
Step 3: Form the Body
Form the cat's body by drawing an elongated shape attached to the head of the cat.
Step 4: Attach the Tail
Draw a curvy narrow shape attached to the end of the cat's body to form a tail.
Step 5: Create the Legs
Let's create the legs of the cat by drawing limbs attached to the body as shown in the illustration.
Step 6: Complete the Cat Drawing
Let us finish our cat drawing by shading the cat's inner ears and nose with a pink crayon. Then, use a white crayon to color to shade a part of the face, tip of the tail and the cat's paws. Finally, let's use an orange crayon to shade the body of the cat. Use a darker shade of orange to give our cat some patterns shown.
Now Try This!
Draw a ball of yarn in front of the cat for it to play with.
